happy new year!
time to get serious for a second. i (jamie) have a lot of fun putting on these shows and writing this newsletter, but really i see my collaborators and myself as more than just robot karaoke purveyors. we're also robot karaoke prognosticators, oracle-saints that citizens can turn to for guidance about where the world of robot karaoke is going.
with that in mind, below are five bold predictions for the year ahead.

2026 was a bumper crop of robot karaoke shows, with a whopping 33 public editions and a classified number of private ones. what should we expect now that the year is a whopping 2026? all we know for sure is that there are two shows this month:

don't believe the headlines! america's robot karaoke moat isn't as deep as you think. look for an international company to release a version of robot karaoke competitive on all major benchmarks by august 2026.

the mnemonic benefits of robot karaoke for language learning will upend the owl sector as robot karaoke emerges as a vegetarian alternative to duolingo. investment will elevate us to unicorn status as markets realize that our datasets already include text datasets in four languages, supercharging the learning process and putting thousands online brain gyms out of business, culminating in us acquiring our rival just in time for the holiday season.
